Once again our mate Jeff was slaving it at another car show in California…lifes sucks for him! Pomona a couple of weekends ago.
Jeff always happens to be in the right place at the right time. You may have seen the trailer to the new Robert Rodriguez movie Machete around the traps, if not check it out – it has Danny Trejo as the star role. As a pure coincidence to the short video we posted the otherday on lowrider lifestyle, Jeff had the movie premier show up in front of his apartment in LA and snapped these shots of the Lifestyles cars.

This arrived in my mail from our mate Rowan. Row-dog loves the VWs with 2 great cars from each end of the custom spectrum in his parking lot – he must have got the bug from old man who lately has been busy on this franken-dub… the shots are from the palmerston north swapmeet, here are a few words form Rowan “its a 54 beetle the old man came across under a tree in a paddock in himatangi, dad (wayne) got a little creative and started work a couple of years ago, it does drive but obviously not road legal, the front end is so slammed it was plowing dirt driving in and out of the indoor display”…Rad!! – future plans include blower and transverse leafspring front end.
Wayne wants to start up a bit of a vw service/custom workshop… krauter kreators. If hes thinking more of this sort of dub we should see some rad rides roll out of those doors.
Jeff risked his pale white neck getting 2nd degree sunburns in this LA heatwave last weekend just to bring us miserably cold bastards some coverage of what looks like one of the best rod and custom shows to attend… MOONEYES 2010 – it looked just killer. Here are a sampling of the hundreds of shots taken.

Theres more where that came from, we’ll put up a stack more in the next few days once you get you head around these shots.
Jeff, our guy with a camera in LA, has been working over time this weekend with 2 shows of shots to sift through and share with us all.
The first was the 17th Annual Glendale Cruise Night Car Show and Street Party. It was crammed with all kinds of rides and all kinds of people. Here’s a slice of the action. – its worth looking closely at some of the rad shit in the backgrounds too…
Grab a beer, get comfortable and put you feet up for about 30 min to watch this original 1959 official National Hot Rod Association 1/4mile racing full length video below. It’s gold and well worth taking the time out to watch. (hit the full screen button)
Our old mate Jones loves his Mopars. He has a real nice Val coupe that he has owned for at least 10 years which I can’t exactly remember which model it is. The Dodge Charger is a dream car for young man like Jones… Not the usual car that we post on Committed Few but this is nearly complete and we are stoked for ya!…. I hope you still have some dreams to aspire to? 440 stroked out to 512cu, 750 holley, aluminium heads, big cam, got a chrysler A-833 “4 on the floor” and Willwood discs all round. Whhooo wee…
The guys make some cool shit: www.chabottengineering.com
