The past classic car auction had some rare finds. The below 48 Chevy Fleetmaster was pulled out of a shed in Christchurch. All original covered in dust, paint peeling, rat shit on the bumpers, fog lights, visor and tidy interior. It looked to be in great shape for the age with the doors till opening and closing beautifully and little apparent rust…it sold for a little over $4k….damn I should have bid. Be sweet as is slammed on cross bar hub caps and big whites with some dummy spots. If only I had more room!
Now us crew at CF don’t really post pics of Japanese cars the below 68′ Nissan Gloria is an exception. This was found at the same location as the 48′ by surprise. 5800 og miles, og tires, still had tags on the seatbelts….sold for about $17k.
At a young age I had read about this movie called Boulevard Nights and I had tried and tried to get a hold of a copy with no luck, even in Australia so I gave up trying to find it. Some ten years later I had spoken to my girlfriend about it, well guess what I got for my Birthday? A Copy, I was so psyched! My girlfriend had found it for sale in the States and had it delivered to her friend in Hawaii. Her friend was coming to visit in NZ so she brought it over. Damn I’ve got an awesome girl! So anyway this movie is lowrider history! Whittier Boulevard in LA was the BLVD to cruise and this movie made Whittier and lowriding so popular the authorities closed off the boulevard for cruising. Check the you tube vid, it is amazing and view what I had tried to find for so long!
