So this is story of my wheels….. I purchased my Impala about 11 years ago now stock standard, which it pretty much still is, just minus a couple of coils. I wanted og lowrider wheels so I found a set of orginal 1960′s 14 x 7 Cragars painted silver for a good price. I spent hours taking the paint off by hand, they went on with 175/ 70 pinstripe white walls. They didn’t cut it at the time so I purchased some 100 spoke reversed wires from the states in about 1999, hardly anyone rolled them then, especially in the south..everybody had Cragars with fats. I got sick of the wires as that style got really played out to me so my mate Jake said put the original old steelies back on with the white wall flaps. I love this look, but white wall flaps are a hassle, they tear out, you need red rubber grease, i’ve just had no luck and proper white walls are expensive. I’ve been researching lowriders from the early and mid sixties again and they all rolled 14×7 Cragars or Supremes. We’ll luckily I never sold them…Phil spun me up big bullets and out of polished aluminium which really match the old chrome. The rims aren’t dished so the bullets fill the guards. Next pin stripe walls, flaked and laced roof…my vision an un restored 60′s period lowrider.
USA day in Woodend is growing every year and this past Sunday looked to have been an awesome turn out. We nicked some pics off of our buddy Phil. Definatley next year!
Beautiful dark green 59 Galaxie
Phil Spun the bullet caps, came out great!
49′ Ford Business man coupe

Speaks for itself really

I was impressed with the container yard just over the Waltham bridge in CHCH, just how oversized everything is. Ah the awesome world of logistics….. I stole this pic from international sk8 photographer Ryan Allans’ site….logistics with huge consequences
