We have been having a few discussions lately about the whole Lowrider culture and the idea of how everything can be timelined and broken into sub genres/ sub cultures of lowriding as a whole. Because of this we have often gone to Tard Me to bring examples of possible conversions and shells with potential of being something – pure fantasy but we are all guilty of it, think of it as an education training exercise for strengthening your car culture muscles.
Here are a few highlights from my hand of TM cards, judge at will but I was aiming for a fulhouse – I call you out to show what you’d be holding: flick us an email: committedfew at gmail.com

A mate of ours sent this pic of a ’29 Triumph 500cc he just rolled out from the back of an old shed. It’s been sitting for some time waiting for someone to pour in some fuel and kick it started… first kick and it lit up in this case. There are a few plans to add some more style but keep it looking old, but not in that concours way…

The old man gave me a shout to come check one of his customers cars he had down at the workshop. 36 Ford Roadster, NZ New, edelbrock twin carb manifold, and Edelbrock heads… beautiful

you maybe wondering why we have a pic of toilet and a biscuit up on CF?… well, we dig tattoo culture and who doesn’t like early and mid 20th century maritime tattoos? This toilet was in a batch on Banks Peninsular and is alledged to be the first flushing toilet in New Zealand…and I got closer and I found the cool brand logo on the back of the bowl…plus it smelt all nice and woody in there. The biscuit is Japanese, Japan is rad!

One of Larry Wastons best creations I think! Vino Paisano, named after a bottle wine sitting in his workshop. 58 Tbird, chopped springs, shaved at Barris’ by Bill Hines and Bill DeCarr and painted obviously by himself. Love this shot of it low on the grass. Pick up the winter 2009 copy of Traditional Rod & Kulture for a good article on this car and see pics of it in its current restored state.
