Rangiora, Rangoon, The Goon what ever you want call the town 20 minutes north of Christchurch, New Zealand is the home of the South Islands biggest Hot Rod and Kustom car show, Muscle Car Madness. This coverage of Muscle Car Madness 2011 is so fresh that as i’m typing, the show is still in full Sunday swing. The 2011 event was its 21st birthday. I got out there early Saturday to beat the crowds to get some shots. The show had an amazing selection of cars. The V Dub crew were in full force, with Tony’s Oval window Volks Rod taking its first open drive to the event. He has done an amazing job with his creation! His country buggy which I believe is one of two in NZ on display also. Phil from Metal Spinning Specialists had his volks rod project out there and his stall with all his rad hand spun Kustom goodies avalaible. Thanks Phil for peddling some of our T’s to! Blair, Holly and Poppy were up from Queenstown with their 666 C10 slammed on Dodge steelies, looking amazing. Ophy from Invercargill had his 65′ Bonny laced up. A good turn out from the southern boys. We will all have more cars next year as a bunch of us have our vehicles in various stages of non completion. The bands were fun, the mud made for humour and the party buses arriving back from the pub crawls with all kinds of tits pressed against the windows were crack up to. It was one of the best days i’ve had out there and I’m definatley keen to camp next year. Thanks to the organisers, and the crew Flying the ‘CF’ on their vehicles. Its great to see CF represented well on the style we back and to have the support, we endeavour to show the goods! Here is a sample of what was on display. Till next year…..
